The
Firm’s land use and environmental practice is
focused on providing institutional clients in the real
estate development, wireless telecommunications, and
energy fields with comprehensive assistance, including
project conception, securing land use and environmental
permits from federal, State and local agencies, and
structuring innovative project financing, acquisition
and leasing vehicles. The Firm has counseled clients
on real estate development on a national basis, including
network rollouts for wireless telecommunications providers.
It has also successfully litigated challenges to wrongful
project denials and moratoria on real estate development,
and successfully defended challenges to approvals and
permits by citizens and environmental lobbying groups.
The Firm regularly advises clients with respect to the
full range of environmental laws and regulations. These
include State and federal regulatory matters and enforcement
proceedings regarding hazardous substances, remediation
and permitting. The Firm also has extensive experience
shepherding projects through environmental review processes
under the National Environmental Policy Act, State Environmental
Quality Review Act and the Adirondack Park Agency Act. |
